Antler Sea Turtle by Robert Michael Weahkee - Zuni Fetish

A large cream and gray streaked antler sea turtle with turquoise inlaid eyes carved by Robert Michael Weahkee - delivered to Sunshine Studio shortly after the 2022 Indian Market. Robert has burnished the nose, the scales, as well as the the edge of the burr - used to create the shell. On top of the turtle's shell, Robert has inlaid an antler ladder at the center and surrounded it with jet inlaid lines that create depth. Surrounding the ladder are four arcs - inlaid with turquoise, gold-lip, clam shell and apple coral. The turtle's offering bundle wraps around the neck with sinew, featuring pink quartz, golden citrine and baby blue colored aquamarine. This carving is quite profound - we just had to have it to offer our customers. We know it is steep in price so just know that you will receive a courtesy fifteen percent discount when checking out. Turtle medicine teaches one to go with the flow, due to the turtle's proclivity to go with the current. The turtle symbolically represents mother earth.
