Picasso Marble Buffalo by Clive Hustito - Zuni Fetish

A large detailed brown, red sienna, cream, gray and tan colored Picasso marble buffalo with turquoise inlaid eyes carved by Clive Hustito. Clive is one of the best buffalo carvers we think; his buffaloes have perfect proportions, the mane's chip carve technique is always impeccable due to Clive's sanding skills. Then there is the contrasting polished derriere, horns and tail that accentuate focal points as well. The buffalo is not a traditional subject for Zuni carvers though the medicine it brings is needed. Therefore the buffalo is carved to help mankind overcome obstacles, build up emotional courage & physical strength to bring abundance & initiate prayerfulness.
