Aqua Rosa Otter by Loren Tsalabutie - Zuni Fetish

An outstanding Aqua Rosa otter carved by Loren Tsalabutie with black marble inlaid eyes - delivered to Sunshine Studio's front porch in March of 2021. This is a newly discovered stone, found in Chile! Loren tells us the pink/rosa part is potassium feldspar and the aqua part is copper stained marialte scapolite and albite feldspar. There is a little quartz mixed in adding hardness but mainly the stone is composed of feldspar and scapolite. The otter has a Australian shell held between its front paws and wears a simple offering bundle strapped around its girth with sinew featuring a black marble arrowhead with turquoise and coral beads.
