Antler Turtle Warrior by Raymond Tsalate

A cream & grayish brown streaked antler turtle warrior with malachite inlaid eyes. This fine plump turtle was delivered to Sunshine Studio's front porch by Ray Tsalate in early February of 2021. Ray has creatively modeled the turtle's shell into a Plain Indian inspired shield - utilizing Zuni directional colored shells and bits of stone to inlay the edges of the shell/shield and the cross that has an antler feather tethered at it's center. Finally, Ray has inlaid turquoise dots to symbolize the turtle's claws and he has also penned a dark mother-of-pearl feather to the back of the turtle's head. Turtle medicine teaches one to go with the flow, due to the turtle's proclivity to go with the current. The turtle symbolically represents mother earth.
