A sage and deep olive green spotted argellite serpentine frog carved by Kenric Laiwakete with turquoise inlaid eyes, and heart line that extends to both sides by way of the frog's smile. Kenric has inlaid a lovely offering bundle around the girth featuring a penn shell arrowhead, penn and melon shell heishi and turquoise beads. Frogs are the result of water so are associated with the prominence of rain & are used to encourage the growth of crops. Zuni believe the frog is a reminder that we are all the same - development wise - we begin as tiny fishlike creatures in the womb then we evolve from swimmers to creatures of the land. The frogs sings its song reminding us of our watery beginning. Artist: Kenric Laiwakete (signed) Size: 2-3/8 in. long x 1-3/4 in. wide x 1 in. tall #55556
