Antler Six-Directional Set by Raymond Tsalate

An outstanding 6-directional set carved in antler by Ray Tsalate inspired by the Japanese Tsum Tsum figures! The set represents the six animals the Zuni revere and the directions they represent. The bear represents the west, the wolf the east, the badger the south & the mountain lion the north. The guardian of the heavenly realm is the eagle & finally the mole represents the nadir underground. Each directional figure has a color so Ray has added a feather to each animal in the accurate directional color. Both the mountain lion and the wolf have antler inlaid tails. The mountain lion has a gold-lip inlaid feather & eyes with pink mussel shell inlaid snout & 4 metacarpal paw pads as well as jet inlaid digital paw pads and dots. The wolf has a mother-of-pearl inlaid feather, turquoise inlaid eyes, all jet inlaid paw pads with serpentine inlaid dots, facial features and center stripe. The bear has a lapis inlaid feather and eyes, with jet inlaid dots, facial features and line + jet digital and penn shell metacarpal foot pads. The badger has a coral inlaid feather & eyes, penn shell inlaid snout, jet inlaid paw pads, pipestone inlaid facial lines and badger 'stripe' with serpentine & jet inlaid oblong shapes as well as dots. The mole has a dark mother-of-pearl inlaid feather and eyes, pink mussel shell inlaid snout and paw pads + green serpentine inlaid facial lines, back stripe, oblong shapes as well as dots. Finally, the eagle has an abalone feather, gold-lip beak, jade inlaid eyes + jet inlaid lines that create the wings with jet, serpentine and pipestone inlaid oblong shapes as well as dots. This is quite an original six-directional set - a show stopper, people!
