Argellite (Spotted Serpentine) Frog by Cody Nastacio

An argellite spotted serpentine frog with turquoise inlaid eyes in the protruding sockets and a coral tongue. Carved by Cody Nastacio there are 4 malachite dots inlaid to both of the frog's hind legs. There are 4 malachite dots inlaid on the center of the back in the shape of a diamond with a turquoise dot in the center. Frogs are the result of water so are associated with the coming of rain & are used to encourage the growth of crops. Zuni believe the frog is a reminder that we are all the same - development wise - we begin as tiny fishlike creatures in the womb then we evolve from swimmers to creatures of the land.
