Picasso Marble Buffalo by Fabian Cheama, Deceased

A fantastic gray, cream, dark brown & black veined Picasso marble buffalo with turquoise inlaid eyes carved by Fabian Cheama and recently picked up in Zuni. This is an unusually large carving for the artist and the incised mane contrasts nicely with the polished horns, snout hind legs and tail. A buffalo symbolizes the endurance to overcome all obstacles, demonstrating emotional courage & due to its size - buffalo is a provider to all. Artist: Fabian Cheama (signed) Size: 3 in. long x 1-1/8 in. wide x 1-5/8 in. tall #54177
