A detailed sage & forest green, black, bluish gray and cream veined serpentine eagle with turquoise and jet inlaid eyes. Carved by Travis Lasiloo, this eagle has one winged wrapped around the village as the other seemingly melts into it - a very unique carving for Travis. The micro carved detail work on the village portion is quite spectacular just as the painstakingly carved feathers. The Zuni believe the creator made the eagle to be a teacher for mankind - and due to their ability to fly the highest; they can send our prayers to the great divine. The eagle also has incredible vision so eagle medicine is to look at the comprehensive whole picture of all situations. Artist: Travis Lasiloo, Deceased (signed) Size: 2-1/8 in. long x 1-3/4 in. wide x 3 in. tall #54107
