54 Inch French Buhr Millstone

Part of a collection we bought at the Boxwood Estate in Ansley Park/Atlanta. Original owner was a banker who built the house and collected these stones from all over North Georgia in the late 1800’s. This is a French Buhr, mined in pieces in the Alsace Lorrain District of France. Coveted because their limestone edges stayed sharp and would meal wheat into flour. Don’t flip out with the fact it’s made in sections. Go online to the “millstone” portfolio and see what my great landscape architects do with them. Absolutely gorgeous! This one is a huge set stone with great grooves, great edges. 54 inch diameter, 8-10 inches thick, has an 10 inch square eye. Strapped up, Nice grooves, nice color, Millstone cut is quarter dress. No backing, loose and awaiting your designer and mason. Weight approximately 1500 lbs. How to Reserve Inventory Items Our shopping cart system is for reserving inventory items only.
