54-50X = Griffith Prip's Flux

Griffith Prip’s Flux – Premixed Firescale Protection Firescale has never improved a piece of jewelry. Griffith Prip’s Flux helps keep it from joining the project in the first place. This traditional premixed firecoat is applied before soldering to help protect jewelry metals from oxidation, firecoat and firescale during heating. Because it arrives ready to use, there is no measuring dry ingredients, experimenting with recipes or discovering halfway through a job that today’s batch has opinions. Prip’s Flux is used as a protective firecoat before applying your primary soldering flux. It is especially useful for jewelry fabrication, repair work and projects requiring repeated heating.
