Picasso Marble Bird, Sparrow by Troy Sice

A jewel of a sparrow poised on a wild horse rock base for it's 15 minutes of fame! Kidding aside - this gentle bird is carved in a dark gray piece of Picasso marble with exotic black and brown veins running rampant all over it by Troy Sice. The bird looks upwards at the viewer with Sleeping Beauty Mine turquoise inlaid eyes. The wings are bejeweled with hand made rounded semi precious stones in different sizes. On each wing - there are 2 lapis, one Mediterranean coral, one Sleeping Beauty Mine, turquoise and one small lapis dot. The tail has two pink coral dots and one Mediterranean coral dot in the center. Even though there is a base, i would be drawn to hold this carving, the bird is so precious and has such expressive eyes.
