5009378X | Genuine Bendix® AD-9 Air Dryer

Description: An Air Dryer 5009378X is a component used in heavy-duty vehicles and equipment with air brake systems (trucks, buses, trailers) that removes moisture and contaminants from compressed air before it enters the air system. Part Number: 5009378X Condition: New Manufacture/Brand: Bendix Specifications 5009378X: Heater Voltage: 12 Volt Heater Watts: 75 Watt Supply: 1/2" NPT Delivery: 1/2" NPT Control: 1/4" NPT Fits 5009378X For Freightliner, Mack, International, Volvo/White, Meritor/Rockwell, and similar makes that use Bendix‑style air dryers Purpose of using 5009378X: Remove moisture from compressed air Prevents water buildup that can cause corrosion and freezing. Protect air brake system Keeps valves, air lines, and brake chambers working reliably. Prevent air system freezing Especially important in cold weather where moisture can freeze in lines. Filter oil and contaminants Removes compressor oil and debris from the air supply. Extend component life Reduces wear and damage to air system parts. Maintain proper air pressure Helps the system build and hold air pressure efficiently. Signs of Bad Air Dryer 5009378X Excess moisture in air tanks Water drains from tanks more than normal Air system freezing Frozen air lines or valves, especially in cold weather Slow air pressure build-up Takes longer than normal to reach operating pressure Frequent or constant purging Dryer purges too often or doesn’t stop purging Air leaks Hissing sounds around the air dryer or purge valve Low air pressure warnings Dashboard air pressure light or buzzer activates Brake performance issues Brakes feel slow to apply or release Oil or debris in air system Contaminants found in air tanks or valves About the Manufacturer – Bendix: Bendix is a leading manufacturer of air brake systems, safety technologies, and control components for commercial trucks, buses, and trailers.
