5 Micron Carbon Block Filter Chlorine VOC Removal

The First Line of Defense Before Your Ionizer Why make your expensive internal filters work harder than they need to? The 5 Micron Carbon Block Prefilter removes chlorine, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and taste-altering chemicals BEFORE water even enters your Life Ionizer – extending internal filter life and delivering cleaner water from the start. 🔬 Carbon Block Filtration Technology Unlike loose granular carbon, carbon block technology compresses activated carbon into a solid structure with millions of microscopic pores. This creates: Greater Surface Area: More contact time between water and carbon for superior adsorption Consistent Filtration: No channeling or bypassing that occurs with loose media 5 Micron Rating: Catches particles down to 5 microns while maintaining excellent flow What This Prefilter Removes ⚠️ Chlorine: The harsh chemical taste and smell from municipal water treatment ⚠️ VOCs: Volatile organic compounds from industrial pollution and household chemicals ⚠️ Bad Tastes & Odors: Chemical and organic compounds that make water unpleasant ⚠️ Organic Chemicals: Pesticide residues, herbicides, and industrial solvents ⚠️ Sediment (5+ microns): Larger particles that carbon block captures Why Use a Pre-Filter? Your Life Ionizer's internal filters are designed for advanced purification – not bulk contaminant removal. By installing a carbon block prefilter, you: 💰 Save Money: Internal filters last significantly longer ⚡ Improve Performance: Internal filters can focus on what they do best 💧 Better Water Quality: Two-stage external filtration before ionization 🔧 Reduce Maintenance: Less frequent internal filter changes Universal Compatibility This prefilter works with ALL Life Ionizer models when installed in a standard 10" filter housing (sold separately). Perfect for: Life MXL Series (MXL-5 through MXL-15) Life Next Generation (M5, M7, M9, M11, M13) Life M-Series (M7, M9) Life 7500/7600/8000/8100 Series Life 7700/9000/9100/9200 Series Life 5100 Series Features ✓ Filtration Rating: 5 micron carbon block technology ✓ Removes: Chlorine, VOCs, bad tastes, odors, organic chemicals ✓ Extends Life: Protects internal filters from premature wear ✓ Compatible: All Life Ionizer models ✓ Housing: Fits standard 10" filter housings ✓ Flow Rate: High flow with minimal pressure drop ✓ Replacement: Every 6-12 months based on water quality Replacement Schedule 📅 Standard Use: Every 6-12 months 💧 High Chlorine Areas: Every 4-6 months 👨👩👧👦 Heavy Use: Every 4-6 months Pro Tip: If you notice chlorine taste returning or flow rate decreasing, it's time to replace your prefilter. 💡 Build Your Complete Pre-Filtration System For maximum protection, pair with a 5 Micron Sediment Filter to catch particles before they reach the carbon block. This dual pre-filtration extends both filter lives and delivers the cleanest possible water to your ionizer.
