Preserved Butterfly Acrylic Shadowbox- 4X4

These butterfly displays save rainforests. Really, it's true! Let's start from the beginning! Around the world, tropical rainforests are at risk of deforestation, destroying unique ecosystems that house the world's most diverse lifeforms. Over the past few decades, programs in multiple countries promoting butterfly farming have taken flight to combat this. Butterfly farming not only provides economic incentive to protect the rainforests, but also creates economic security for locals. The artists behind these pieces source their butterflies and other insects from museums, farms, and sanctuaries around the world, after they have naturally passed away.   Each display is unique- the display shown in this listing may no longer be available. Please reach out to find out about our options or to get your favorite butterfly.  Due to how fragile the butterfly wings are, these items are pickup only from HMNS- Hermann Park.
