Lasco 482-040 Deep Socket Coupling is a 4" nominal Schedule 40 PVC slip x slip fitting engineered for reliable joins in potable water, irrigation and pool plumbing systems. The deep-socket profile increases insertion depth for strong solvent-weld bonds and helps align pipes during assembly. Material & finish: Durable white Schedule 40 PVC resistant to corrosion and most common chemicals. Connection type: Slip x Slip (socket x socket) for 4" nominal PVC pipe; designed for solvent-weld joints. Dimensions: Overall length approximately 7-5/8" (7.55"), nominal pipe size 4", typical outside diameter ~5". Standards & approvals: Manufactured to meet ASTM D2466 and related Schedule 40 standards; NSF-listed where indicated for potable water (NSF-14/NSF-61 reported).
