8 lb (3.6 kg) Biodegradable Tippet

Biotip is a monofilament tippet which is 100% biodegradable low-visibility fishing line designed to deliver an excellent fly-fishing experience and be good for the environment. Biotip tippet is as strong as regular tippet. It doesn't start to biodegrade while it is still in the package. On your reel, Biotip holds up great for 18-24 months. With our commitment to environmental sustainability, we have even made the packaging 100% biodegradable. This even includes the spool! Biotip is made from a proprietary polymer designed to biodegrade and/or compost safely in the environment. In other words, our "secret recipe" for fishing line is made of good stuff! Fly fish with Biotip and you won't know the difference - but the planet will!
