337741 Mechanical Seal (RNCT)

The 337741 Mechanical Seal (RNCT) by Blackmer is a high-precision shaft sealing component designed for Blackmer positive displacement and sliding vane pumps.  This mechanical seal features corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel and high-quality elastomers, contributing to its durability and reliable performance in demanding operating environments. It has specific dimensions suitable for standard Blackmer pump models, with a typical outer diameter of approximately 50 mm and a shaft-compatible bore size of 25 mm, ensuring proper fit and seal integrity. The seal construction includes a ceramic stationary face and a carbon rotating face, which together provide effective leak prevention and pressure sealing up to 10 bar (145 psi). The sealing surface design minimizes product leakage and protects internal pump components from contamination and wear. Key features include: Constructed with corrosion-resistant stainless steel and thermoplastic materials for durability. Sealing faces composed of ceramic and carbon for optimal wear resistance and sealing efficiency. Compatible with pump shaft diameters of approximately 25 mm, suitable for standard Blackmer pump models. Pressure rating up to 10 bar (145 psi) with temperature tolerance from -20°C to 150°C (-4°F to 302°F). Designed for proper alignment with minimal maintenance requirements. Includes secondary elastomeric O-rings for additional sealing and flexibility. The 337741 Mechanical Seal is ideal for use in industrial applications requiring reliable shaft sealing for leak prevention and pressure integrity. It is suitable for maintenance environments where seal replacement restores peak pump efficiency and prevents product loss. This seal is designed for operators seeking to minimize downtime and ensure consistent pump performance, especially within chemical processing, water treatment, and other fluid handling systems. Each package ships with the mechanical seal assembly and installation instructions. Not included are specific mounting hardware or pump-specific adapters, which must be compatible with the seal dimensions. Proper installation and periodic inspection are recommended for optimal longevity. Care instructions involve regular visual inspections for wear or damage, and cleaning with appropriate chemical solutions compatible with the seal materials. The seal can be maintained according to the manufacturer’s guidelines, and its lifespan can be extended through routine maintenance and correct operating conditions.
