332906 Seal Backup Ring

Introducing the 332906 Seal Backup Ring by Blackmer. The 332906 Seal Backup Ring is designed to support O-rings and prevent extrusion and nibbling in high-pressure or wider-clearance applications. It helps maintain a leak-resistant seal and ensures system reliability under demanding environmental conditions. Typically manufactured from PTFE or other durable, chemically resistant polymers, this backup ring provides long service life in environments involving temperature fluctuations and exposure to chemicals. Installation involves verifying that the size matches your O-ring and groove dimensions, inspecting glands for wear or scoring, and thoroughly cleaning all mating surfaces. The backup ring should be installed with the correct orientation to avoid twisting during assembly. A compatible lubricant may be used if necessary. It is recommended to replace worn O-rings, gaskets, or fasteners during installation. After installation, system startup should include leak checks to confirm proper operation. The 332906 Seal Backup Ring is supplied by KI Pumps of Waukesha, WI, a recognized global provider of positive displacement and sliding vane pumps and components.
