332187 Outer Carbon

Introducing the 332187 Outer Carbon by Blackmer! The 332187 Outer Carbon is a high-precision sealing component designed specifically for Blackmer pump systems. This outer carbon piece functions as the sealing face within mechanical seal assemblies, providing a smooth, low-friction contact surface that enhances sealing performance and thermal stability. Crafted from durable carbon material, it offers excellent wear resistance, ensuring long service life under demanding operating conditions. The component's design maintains proper alignment of sealing surfaces, reduces leakage, and supports reliable pump operation over extended periods. The 332187 Outer Carbon measures approximately 50 mm in diameter and 10 mm in thickness, compatible with various Blackmer pump models that require a carbon sealing face. Its construction ensures minimal thermal expansion, contributing to consistent sealing performance. The material withstands a wide temperature range, typically from -20°C to 150°C, and is resistant to chemical exposure common in pump applications. It integrates seamlessly with silicon carbide or ceramic mating faces, provided their surfaces are flat and undamaged. Use cases for the 332187 Outer Carbon include repairing or maintaining Blackmer reciprocating and sliding vane pumps, especially in markets requiring dependable, low-friction sealing solutions. It is ideal for applications in chemical processing, water treatment, and industrial fluid transfer where durability and low-maintenance operation are priorities. This component is suitable for users seeking to prevent leakage and extend pump lifespan without frequent replacements, making it a cost-effective choice for maintenance routines. The product ships as a single outer carbon sealing face and does not include additional gaskets or O-rings. Proper installation involves cleaning sealing surfaces, inspecting for damage, and ensuring precise compression during assembly. Handling the carbon face carefully is crucial to avoid chipping or damage, which could compromise sealing integrity. After installation, monitoring temperature, noise, and leakage helps confirm optimal function and early detection of potential issues. Caring for the 332187 Outer Carbon involves routine inspection for wear or damage and replacing it if signs of degradation appear. It is recommended to follow manufacturer guidelines for cleaning and storage, avoiding contact with abrasive materials. The component does not typically require a warranty, but proper handling ensures maximum longevity. By using the 332187 Outer Carbon, professionals maintain efficient, long-lasting sealing performance in their Blackmer pump systems.
