32 Spline Driveshaft 16" Long (Solid)

32 Spline Driveshaft 16" Long (Solid) MW solid funny car / altered class driveshafts are designed to be used in vehicles with solid mounted rear ends and where a single coupler is not long enough. The driveshafts are machined out of 4340 alloy steel, Micro-polished, Heat Treated and Austemper heat treated.  Normally shafts of this type have 4" of full spline on both ends. This feature allows the shaft to be shortened up to 2" on each end.  1-3/8" diameter, 32 spline, 16" long,  Note: Couplers and splined shafts should not be used unless perfect alignment is assured. Critical speed calculations must be considered for these shafts. Call or contact us with your numbers to confirm the RPM critical speed value. MW can also build custom solid driveshafts to your specs with different splines upon request.
