Metal Distribution D‑Ring, 3‑Inch

Vertical Cable 048‑175/D3 Metal Distribution D‑Ring, 3‑Inch Overview The Vertical Cable 048‑175/D3 is a 3‑inch metal distribution D‑Ring engineered for organizing and supporting bundles of structured cabling, especially in low‑voltage and network installations. Constructed from durable aluminum, it offers high-strength performance in a lightweight form. This D‑Ring is ideal for maintaining clean, efficient cable routing in server racks, network enclosures, and structured cabling systems. Key Features Feature Details Material Aluminum Inside (Inner) Diameter 3 inches Cable Capacity Holds up to approximately 110 Cat 6 cables Packaging 50 per pack; also available individually Weight 5.5 lbs per pack (net weight, 50 pieces) Typical Applications / Usage Scenario Ideal for organizing Cat 6 cable runs in vertical and horizontal cable management systems within telecom rooms and data centers. Commonly used in server racks, wall‑mount enclosures, or at transitional points in cable pathways to reduce stress and maintain bend radius. Helps installers achieve clean, professional cable routing with accessible bundling points that prevent kinks and tangles. Installation Notes Mount the D‑Ring with the opening aligned to the cable path to allow smooth cable entry and exit. Secure the D‑Ring to a suitable surface or rack frame using appropriate fasteners. Avoid exceeding the capacity of ~110 Cat 6 cables to ensure proper cable integrity and avoid deformation of the ring. Maintain best practices for bend radius and separation of cable types as applicable to your installation. Advantages Lightweight aluminum construction provides durability with minimal added weight. Accommodates up to approximately 110 Cat 6 cables—ideal for mid-sized cable bundles. 3‑inch diameter offers a balance between density and accessibility, making it versatile for various installation environments. Available in bulk packaging for installers working on large-scale deployments, while also convenient for one-off purchases. Considerations For larger or shielded cable bundles, consider using a larger D‑Ring (such as a 5‑inch model) or multiple D‑Rings spaced appropriately. Always evaluate mounting space and ensure that installed D‑Rings do not obstruct airflow or other rack-mounted components. Proper cable management using D‑Rings can significantly extend the life of your cabling and simplify future maintenance.
