7/8-14 Chromoly Male Rod End - 3/4" Bore UCA Heim Joint

Heavy-duty 7/8-14 male rod end with a 3/4-inch bore, heat-treated 4130 chromoly body and maintenance-free PTFE liner. Available in right- or left-hand thread for compatible serviceable RRW upper control arms, suspension linkages and custom fabrication projects.   Product description Service the Joint. Keep the Arm. A worn or loose heim joint does not mean the complete upper control arm needs to be replaced. This heavy-duty 7/8-14 male rod end is a serviceable replacement for compatible RRW upper control arms and custom suspension assemblies using the same dimensions. Its three-piece construction combines a heat-treated 4130 chromoly body, hardened alloy-steel race and hard-chrome-plated bearing ball for dependable articulation under demanding suspension loads. The PTFE-lined design operates without a grease fitting, helping reduce maintenance while delivering smooth movement in off-road, racing and performance suspension applications. Suspension and structural assemblies must account for load direction, impact, fatigue, thread engagement, safety factors and surrounding-component strength. Fitment Compatible with RRW upper control arms and other suspension assemblies specifically designed around these specifications: 7/8-14 male threaded shank 3/4-inch bearing bore 0.875-inch ball width 0.687-inch body thickness Correct right- or left-hand thread direction Fitment is determined by dimensions and thread direction—not vehicle make, model or the phrase “7/8-inch rod end” alone. Some 7/8-inch rod ends use a different bore, thread pitch, ball width or body diameter. Compare the existing rod end, UCA specifications and misalignment spacers before ordering. What Is Included One PTFE-lined 7/8-14 chromoly male rod end in the selected thread direction Jam nut, mounting bolt, misalignment spacers and other suspension hardware are not included unless specifically stated elsewhere on the page. Installation Professional installation and suspension alignment are recommended. Before installation: Confirm right- or left-hand thread direction Inspect the threaded receiver for damage or contamination Confirm adequate thread engagement Inspect the mounting bolt and misalignment spacers Replace damaged or worn locking hardware Verify that the rod end can articulate without binding Tighten the jam nut and mounting hardware according to the RRW or vehicle-specific installation instructions. Never use the rod end as a suspension travel stop. Frequently Asked Questions Is the bearing bore also 7/8 inch? No. The threaded shank is 7/8-14, but the bearing bore is 3/4 inch. Both dimensions must match your application. What is the difference between JMXR12-14T and JMXL12-14T? JMXR12-14T has a right-hand thread. JMXL12-14T has a left-hand thread. Their primary dimensions and load specifications are otherwise the same. Will this fit my RRW upper control arms? It fits compatible RRW UCA applications designed for a 7/8-14 male rod end with a 3/4-inch bore and matching body dimensions. Verify the existing rod end and required thread direction before ordering. Will it fit an upper control arm from another brand? Possibly. These dimensions are used in suspension and custom-fabrication applications, but rod ends are not universally interchangeable. Confirm the shank thread, bore, ball width, body thickness and thread direction. Does the PTFE-lined rod end require grease? No routine greasing is required for the PTFE-lined bearing. Do not add grease to the liner unless specifically directed by the manufacturer. Is the 55,692-pound rating the safe working load? No. It is the published static radial load rating for the rod end. It is not an application-specific working-load recommendation. Actual allowable load depends on installation, load direction, fatigue, shock loading, safety factor and surrounding components. Is this listing for one rod end or a pair? This listing includes one rod end in the selected thread direction. Order the quantities and thread directions required for your specific UCA or linkage assembly.
