This is my interpretation and 3D version of the 2nd Engineer Battalion Display Insignia made for wall display or shadowbox display with your other memorabilia. This is the battalion identity you carried, whether your memories are tied to Korea with 2nd Infantry Division or the current Fort Bliss and El Paso grind with 1st Armored Division.Ā For a lot of soldiers, the memories hit immediately: Camp Castle, downrange in Dongducheon, running over to the Burger King at Camp Casey, or spending too much time at KTC. Camp Castle was home to the 2nd Engineer Battalion for decades while it supported the 2ID. š„ The battalionās Korean War story is part of why the name carries weight. At Kunu-ri in late 1950, the 2nd Engineer Combat Battalion served as the rear guard during the withdrawal, and the commander ordered the colors burned so they wouldnāt be captured. That moment lives on in the annual Burning of the Colors tradition.Ā š ļø This 3D version is bold and dimensional, with raised details that read clean from across the room. It looks right in a home office, barracks room, shop corner, or a shadowbox build next to coins, photos, and patches. š Flat back makes it easy to mount with your preferred method or prop up on a shelf for a desk display. š Pick your size from 4 inches up to 12 inches, whether you want a compact piece or a bigger wall statement. ⨠Designed and made by a U.S. Army veteran for people who actually get it. Perfect as a PCS send-off, a promotion gift, a retirement piece, or a personal reminder of where you served and who you served with. š¦ Ships FAST via USPS anywhere in the U.S. šInternational customers - please see our eBay store for overseas shipping! DO NOT EXPOSE TO HIGH HEAT - this plastic is sensitive to temperatures exceeding 150°F. To maintain, simply clean using soap and lukewarm water. This is a 3D-printed plastic item. Due to variables inherent in the printing process, it may have blemishes, layer lines, and other defects and/or minor sharp, small pieces of plastic which can be harmful if not handled properly. Sharp/rough edges can typically be smoothed with a heat gun or hair dryer, lightly softening the plastic then smoothing with a finger or other object. That said, we work very hard to ensure that each item has a certain standard of quality. Please let us know if something is not up to snuff and we'll do our best to fix it!
