Like having the artist in the room with you 2M Black LVB 250 The 2M Black LVB 250 upgrades the great build of the 2M Black with a boron cantilever and our very own Nano Tube suspension system. The result is a sound so precise and so detailed that you feel like you have let the artist into your house and have them playing right in your living room. The 2M Black LVB was released to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven in December 2020. 2M Black LVB 250 Beyond amazing Having the artist in the room with you Accuracy level The 2M Black is an amazing cartridge and, by many, considered the ultimate in moving magnet. So, why would we attempt to create something even better? Because perfection runs in our blood. The 2M Black LVB 250 upgrades the great build of the 2M Black, and the result is a sound so precise and so detailed that you feel like you have let the artist into your house and have them playing right in your living room. Nude Shibata diamond on a boron cantilever Stylus The 2M Black LVB 250 upgrades the great build of the 2M Black with a Nude Shibata diamond on a boron cantilever. The use of an extremely stiff and lightweight Boron cantilever adds remarkable transparency, speed, and responsiveness. The Nude Shibata stylus’ slim, highly polished profile allows an exceedingly wide contact area to the groove walls and ensures notably detailed reproduction throughout the spectrum, including even the highest frequencies. Nano Tube suspension system Rubber suspension The 2M Black LVB 250 features our very own Nano Tube suspension system. The new rubber compound formula is based on the Multi Wall Carbon Nano Tubes' (MWCNT) highly efficient nano filler. The new MWCNT-based compound offers desirable mechanical properties, which ensure better damping and improve the overall performance of the cartridge. In this video, Leif Johannsen explores the power of materials used in the different parts of a cartridge and demonstrates the differences in the damping properties of the rubber. Universal fit Compatibility The 2M Series is designed for easy cartridge mounting, weight, and size to fit the most common turntables today. The 2M Series are available in four different product variant configurations: the 2M for most common turntables on the market; the 2M Premounted, for customers who wish direct and easy mounting and replacement on their S-shaped tonearm; the 2M Verso, for bottom mount headshells; and the 2MR, which is designed cartridge housing tailored for turntables and tonearms like Rega, matching their requirement for low-form factor cartridges. HIFI Maailma "... Compared to a good quality MC cartridge, the LVB 250 is a viable, quite equal option. The sound is airy, and at the same time, the top end of the spectrum is peaceful and accurate. The Ortofon 2M Black LVB 250 is a civilized cartridge that is easy to live with." Matti Hermunen HIFI Maailma Hxos+ Soundvision magazine "We are used to the idea that nothing can be compared with a good MC cartridge for the best sound resolution, but the Ortofon 2M Black LVB 250 comes to challenge this idea with its high performance, based on advanced technology ... Ortofon's 2M Black LVB 250 is a MM cartridge with extreme performance and technology ... This one here is, beyond any doubt, a queen." www.hxoseikona.gr EISA Best Product Award 2021-2021 "It fits the bill with a silky, sophisticated presentation especially well-suited to classical, jazz, and acoustic music. Refined and composed, it uses a version of the stylus and cantilever found in the company's Cadenza Black moving-coil cartridge. This, along with a new suspension, all contributes to a sound that boasts rock-solid imaging, great stereo focus, and depth along with a smooth, lush view of strings and other acoustic instruments." 5 Stars and a Recommended badge "... the Ortofon 2M Black LVB 250 offers amazing insight, detail, and grip, making it an absolute must-audition cart." www.hifichoice.co.uk Audio Review "... The 2M Black LVB 250 is one of the best MM cartridges on the market ... The sound it proposes is realistic, warm, and rich in detail and can reach excellent dynamic excursions. Drawn to its considerable experience, the Danish manufacturer (Ortofon - red.) has created a high-level sound detector that would not disfigure even in comparison with many MCs. The adoption of an excellent Boron cantilever and the suspension system shows that even MM can have their say in ambitious analog chains ..."
