Malakeh 2'6" x 14'2" Vintage Persian Runner

Long, intricate and quietly expressive, this vintage Persian Malayer runner carries the layered elegance of a deeply rooted weaving tradition. Originating from the Malayer region of western Iran, these rugs are known for their finely knotted construction and beautifully detailed, often geometric compositions—each one a reflection of the villages and hands that brought it to life. Its elongated form creates a sense of movement through a space, drawing the eye along its length while grounding it with warmth and rhythm. The pattern unfolds with intention—delicate motifs repeating and evolving, offering a balance of structure and softness that feels both refined and lived-in. Woven from natural wool, the surface carries a gentle patina, with tones that have mellowed over time into a rich, nuanced palette. Subtle variations in color and wear give the piece depth and authenticity, allowing it to shift beautifully with the light throughout the day. There is a quiet sophistication to a Malayer runner—more intricate, more detailed, yet never overwhelming. Perfect for hallways, kitchens, or narrow spaces, it brings both artistry and function, offering durability underfoot while elevating the room with its storied presence.
