The Electrolux Refrigerator Condenser Fan Motor powers the fan that draws air across the condenser coils at the back or bottom of the refrigerator, releasing heat removed from inside the unit. It works continuously during compressor cycles to keep the condenser coils cool and maintain efficient refrigeration throughout the fresh food and freezer sections. The Electrolux Refrigerator Condenser Fan Motor can fail from worn bearings, dust and debris buildup on the motor shaft, overheating, or simple wear over years of continuous use. When the motor weakens or stops, the condenser cannot shed heat properly, forcing the compressor to work harder and causing temperatures inside the refrigerator to rise. Watch for these symptoms to help determine if the condenser fan motor is the source of your problem: - Refrigerator or freezer not cooling properly or running warm - Compressor runs constantly without the refrigerator reaching set temperature - Unusual squealing, grinding, or rattling noise from behind or beneath the refrigerator - Fan blade is not spinning even when the compressor is running - Refrigerator feels hot on the outside near the back or bottom panel - Motor hums but the fan does not turn or turns slowly - Refrigerator shuts off unexpectedly due to overheating of the sealed system
