242 Portable Intercom Kit – 2-Person Bluetooth Intercom System | Rugged Radios

The 242 Intercom Kit delivers clear, professional-grade 2-person communication in a fully portable, no-install setup, making it the most accessible way to add in-car communication to UTVs, off-road vehicles, and temporary vehicle setups. Powered by either (2) 9V batteries or the included 12-volt power adapter, the RRP242BT is ready to use right out of the box with no wiring, drilling, or permanent mounting required. Designed for UTVs and off-road vehicles where simplicity and flexibility matter, the 242 Intercom provides loud, clear audio with premium features like VOX, full volume control, and Bluetooth music streaming. It delivers the same core communication performance as Rugged in-dash intercoms at a significantly lower price point, ideal for drivers who want reliable communication without the cost or complexity of a full install kit. Bluetooth connectivity allows music streaming and hands-free phone calls, while VOX auto music-dimming lowers music during conversation and restores it once speaking stops. Built-in dual PTT buttons provide convenient vehicle-to-vehicle communication when adding an optional mobile radio. With true portability, no installation required, and Rugged reliability, the 242 Intercom Kit is a smart choice for UTV riders, off-road enthusiasts, and Drag & Drive competitors who need clear communication without committing to a permanent system.
