Black Tucano Premium Blend Coffee Kit - A Brazilian Journey in Every Cup Bring café-quality excellence home with the Black Tucano Premium Blend Coffee Kit, a curated experience built around a 250g bag of Black Tucano Premium Blend Roasted coffee. Crafted by Black Tucano Coffee Roasters and sourced from esteemed Brazilian producers, this kit celebrates the art of brewing, the nuance of origin, and the pure pleasure of a beautifully balanced cup. Expect a harmonious profile layered with chocolate, red fruits, caramel, and a nostalgic hint of apple pie-a comforting, polished expression of modern Brazilian specialty coffee. Carefully Sourced, Thoughtfully Blended This Arabica blend is built from standout lots grown by Carlos Henrique & Daniele Alkimin and Marcos Rennó & Andréia Moreira-producers whose dedication shines through every harvest. The beans originate from Mantiqueira de Minas (Santa Rita do Sapucaí) and Serra do Paredão (São Sebastião da Bela Vista), renowned Brazilian regions where altitude and microclimate elevate sweetness and structure. At 920–1,200 meters, slow maturation deepens complexity while preserving clarity of flavor. Black Tucano blends select single-origin lots-varieties Yellow Catuaí and Mundo Novo-into a seamless profile. Processed through both fermented and natural methods, the components deliver a layered sweetness and textural richness. Fermented lots add fruit-forward aromatics and lifted complexity; natural lots contribute plush body and cocoa depth. The result is a cohesive flavor arc that’s polished yet vibrant, earning an SCA score above 86 points. Aromatics & Flavor: Comfort Meets Craft From the moment you open the bag, the aroma is enveloping: cocoa and milk chocolate interlace with hints of raw sugar (rapadura) and toasted nuts. On the palate, it blooms with a soft, syrupy sweetness balanced by medium-low acidity-think ripe red fruits guided by caramel and a warming apple pie spice memory. The body leans medium to full, coating the tongue without heaviness, and the finish lingers with cocoa and brown-sugar tones that invite another sip. Tasting Notes: Chocolate, Red Fruits, Milk Chocolate, Caramel, Apple Pie, Cocoa, Raw Sugar (Rapadura), Nuts Body: Medium to Full Acidity: Medium-Low Designed for Filter Brewing Tuned for clarity and sweetness, the Black Tucano Premium Blend shines with filter methods and traditional coffee makers. Whether you reach for a pour-over dripper, a Chemex, a batch brewer, or a classic coffeemaker, you’ll find an approachable, dialed-in cup. This is brewing made rewarding-no guesswork, just dependable balance and depth. Brewing Guidance Pour-Over (V60/Kalita): Start with a 1:15–1:16 coffee-to-water ratio. Use 200–205°F water, bloom for 30–40 seconds, then pour in steady, concentric pulses. Expect heightened clarity with red-fruit sweetness and a caramel finish. Chemex: A 1:15 ratio highlights silky texture and a clean, cocoa-inflected aftertaste. Aim for a total brew time of 4–5 minutes. Batch Brewer/Traditional Coffeemaker: Use a medium grind and fresh, filtered water. This method emphasizes chocolate, nuts, and a touch of rapadura sweetness-ideal for crowd-pleasing mornings. AeroPress (Filter Style): 15–17 g of coffee, 220–240 g water, 2-minute steep, gentle press. You’ll get a concentrated, syrupy cup with pronounced milk chocolate and apple-pie undertones. Prefer a deeper, more syrupy profile? Slightly increase your dose or lower your ratio. Craving brightness? Grind a touch finer and keep your water near 205°F. While this blend is dialed for filters, home baristas with a capable grinder can explore a comforting, milk-friendly espresso-expect chocolate and caramel forwardness with restrained acidity. Craft, Freshness, and Respect for Origin Black Tucano Coffee Roasters approaches each roast with restraint and intent, honoring the inherent sweetness of these Brazilian coffees. The goal is simple: showcase origin character without overshadowing it. By weaving together fermented and natural components, the roastery captures both vibrancy and body, creating a cup that resonates from first aroma to final sip.
