22 String Lever Harp, 2-tone Ash/Walnut

We were genuinely struck by this harp the moment we set it out — the contrast between the warm ash body and the dark walnut trim gives it a visual elegance that photographs can barely do justice. It sits comfortably in the lap or on its adjustable legs, and the full set of Salvi-design levers across all 22 strings means you are never caught short when a key change comes. For a compact instrument, it has real presence, and we think it will surprise players at every level. Construction & Materials The body is built from solid ash and walnut in a striking two-tone configuration, with a spruce soundboard finished with an ash veneer. The combination of a resonant spruce top and a structurally stable hardwood body produces a focused, projecting tone. Professional Salvi-design semitone levers are fitted to every string, allowing precise half-step modulation across the entire range. Strings are DuPont monofilament, chosen for their consistency, clarity, and durability. The detachable legs lift the harp 8 1/4 inches, so it can be played while seated in a chair. Height: 34 inches Height w/legs: 42 1/4 inches Sound & Playability The 22-string range spans A3 to A6, covering three full octaves and making this instrument well suited to Celtic, folk, and early music repertoire as well as original composition. DuPont monofilament strings respond quickly and hold pitch reliably, making tuning sessions straightforward for beginners and reassuring for experienced players. The Salvi-design levers engage cleanly and stay put, which matters in performance. Color-coded tuning pins help players orient quickly to C and F strings across the range. About This Instrument This is a thoughtfully specified portable harp that does not ask the player to make significant compromises. The two-tone ash and walnut construction is not just decorative; both woods contribute to a balanced acoustic character. The included accessories reflect practical thinking: an extra string set, tuning key, cleaning cloth, and carry bag are all ready to go from day one. This harp is appropriate for beginners learning their first Celtic tunes as well as intermediate players seeking a lightweight second instrument for travel or teaching. Care & Maintenance Store the harp in the included carry bag when not in use and keep it away from direct heat sources and sudden humidity changes, which can affect both the wood and string tension. Wipe the soundboard and body with the included cleaning cloth after playing to remove oils and dust. Check string tension periodically and retune as needed, particularly in the first weeks of play when new strings settle in. If a string breaks, replace it promptly using the included spare set, following the string chart for correct gauges by position. Lever alignment can be checked at home with the tuning key; consult a harp technician for adjustments if levers no longer engage cleanly.
