High-Speed Performance • Freeride • Boosting • Sizes 3.5–6.5m 2027 North Mode Pro Wing A stiff, lightweight performance wing engineered for rapid acceleration, efficient power delivery, explosive boost and confident control at high speed. The 2027 North Mode Pro Wing is built for performance-focused wing foilers who want to ride fast, point higher and remain composed when fully powered. Its lightweight N-Weave45 airframe, high-load Matrix canopy and full-length UDi Carbon leading-edge reinforcement create a direct, highly responsive connection between rider input and forward drive. For 2027, North refined the profile, strut geometry, panel layout and XLT-Joint to improve acceleration, sustained speed, upwind efficiency and powered riding comfort. High-speed performance freeride Stiff N-Weave45 airframe Matrix high-load canopy UDi Carbon LE reinforcement ShiftLock modular handle system Sizes 3.5–6.5m Why Choose the 2027 North Mode Pro? Fast, Efficient Power Delivery The stiff airframe resists unwanted deformation when loaded, translating rider input into immediate forward drive. The Mode Pro accelerates quickly and continues generating efficient power as your apparent wind and board speed increase. High-Speed Stability A flatter dihedral, low-drag profile and tensioned canopy create a wing that becomes increasingly settled as speed builds. This dependable stability lets you focus on foil control, upwind angles and your next maneuver. Explosive Boost and Hangtime Efficient lift and direct power transfer give the Mode Pro the energy needed for powered takeoffs. Its stiff structure helps convert speed into explosive boost while maintaining control through the jump and landing. Massive Top-End Control The stable profile, stretch-resistant canopy and reinforced airframe help the Mode Pro remain composed in overpowered conditions. It is designed for riders who want to keep charging as the wind and apparent wind increase. What’s New for the 2027 Mode Pro? Refined True Form Profile North refined the wing’s aerodynamic profile and panel layout to produce cleaner airflow, faster acceleration and more sustained speed. The updated shape remains efficient as apparent wind builds. Stiffer Leading Edge and XLT-Joint An additional N-Weave45 layer reinforces the center of the leading edge and stiffens the XLT-Joint. This helps the wing hold its designed profile and transfer power more directly with less unwanted movement. Ergonomic Strut Geometry The new segmented strut supports a more comfortable arm and wrist position when riding with two handles. This can reduce elbow strain and arm fatigue during long, powered freeride and upwind sessions. Flatter Dihedral A slightly flatter dihedral generates additional forward thrust, lift and stability at higher apparent wind speeds. It also improves upwind efficiency and gives the wing a steady, locked-in feel while charging. Updated Wingtip Seam Technology New wingtip seam construction adds protection in an area exposed to abrasion during launching, handling and crashes, supporting durability without compromising the Mode Pro’s streamlined shape. Refined Geometric Panel Layout North’s updated Radiate panel layout and load diffuser manage tension through the canopy more effectively, helping the wing maintain its designed profile under changing loads. North Mode Pro Construction and Technology Matrix High-Load N-HTRS Canopy The stretch-resistant Matrix canopy provides high torsional strength and structural integrity. Its ability to carry greater loads supports a wider usable wind range, stable power and dependable high-speed performance. Stiff N-Weave45 Airframe High-tensile woven fibers combined with a 45-degree laminate give the airframe biaxial and torsional control. Reduced deflection creates a lighter, stiffer structure with highly efficient power delivery. Full-Length Carbon UDi Technology Lightweight unidirectional carbon tapes run inside the entire leading edge to resist deflection. The reinforced structure reacts quickly to input and snaps back into shape faster after loading. Trailing-Edge Tension and Shape Slightly sheeted-out wingtips increase trailing-edge tension for greater speed and control. A trimmed, curved trailing edge reduces drag and promotes cleaner airflow for smoother powered riding. Active Twist Wingtips The wingtips are tuned to respond dynamically under load, helping manage airflow and power delivery. This creates smoother handling as the wind changes or the wing accelerates. Compact Outline and Rounded Tips The compact outline and rounded wingtips help reduce accidental tip strikes when starting, pumping or riding close to the water while preserving the Mode Pro’s efficient high-speed character. LiteVision Windows The lightweight windows are positioned to improve visibility during gybes and help you check your surroundings without adding unnecessary complexity to the canopy. Connected Hyperflow Dual-Inflation Independent leading-edge and strut valves are connected by a hose with a shutoff clip. This allows the strut to run at a higher pressure than the leading edge while retaining convenient single-point inflation and deflation. ShiftLock Handle and Boom Options The Mode Pro uses North’s ShiftLock modular mounting tracks. Handles and booms slide along the tracks and lock into your preferred position, allowing you to customize hand placement, stance and control response. ShiftLock Option General Setup Why Choose It? 1100 Boom Single long boom Maximum hand-placement freedom and easy adjustment during maneuvers 950 Boom Single compact boom Continuous hand placement with a shorter, compact configuration 500 Handle Long modular handle Broad grip range with a direct two-handle feel 400 Handle Medium modular handle Balanced grip length for controlled freeride and jumping 250 Handle Compact modular handle Precise hand positioning and a compact connection to the wing Front 400 J-Handle Ergonomic front handle Supports a more natural wrist and elbow position during long powered sessions Important: ShiftLock Carbon Handles and ShiftLock Booms are sold separately.
