2027 Easton Hype Fire -5 USSSA Baseball Bat - EUT7HYP5

2027 Easton Hype Fire -5 USSSA Baseball Bat (EUT7HYP5) The 2027 Easton Hype Fire -5 USSSA Baseball Bat opens with a build designed for players who want the barrel to feel present, composed, and ready from the first swing. Early reps, cage work, and game-speed swings all ask the same question: does the bat stay connected when the tempo rises? At the center of the design is TCT Barrel, a high-performing composite barrel built to widen the sweet spot and keep barrel response consistent. It's backed by ConneXion Max, an elastomer connection that keeps the two-piece build feeling smooth through contact. Further down the build, Opti-Flex Handle gives the Hype Fire -5 USSSA a more complete overall feel, while Gen2 In2uitiv Feel Soft Knob finishes the handle side with the kind of comfort that holds up over repeated swings. Certified for USSSA travel and tournament ball, the -5 drop weight is the most end-loaded option in the USSSA line, built for advanced hitters who want maximum mass behind the barrel and have the strength to control it. It's one size within the full 2027 Easton Hype Fire Bat Line-Up, alongside the rest of the Easton Hype Fire USSSA collection, the Junior Big Barrel models for younger hitters, and the certified USA Baseball models for youth leagues. Key Features 2-piece composite construction keeps the build aligned to its baseball bat role. TCT Barrel: high-performing composite barrel built to widen the sweet spot and keep barrel response consistent. ConneXion Max: elastomer connection that keeps the two-piece build feeling smooth through contact. Opti-Flex Handle: size-specific handle tuning that keeps the bat feeling connected and composed. Gen2 In2uitiv Feel Soft Knob: asymmetric soft-knob design for comfort and barrel awareness. Full Technology Breakdown TCT™ Barrel A high-performing composite barrel that combines a maximized sweet spot with consistent performance across the hitting surface. Optimized Barrel Performance An engineered composite barrel with a focus on widening the sweet spot, improving off-center hits and widening the max performance area beyond the center of the barrel. Swing Weight The -5 drop carries the most mass of the USSSA line-up, giving stronger, more advanced hitters extra momentum and carry through contact. It's built for players who have the bat speed to handle a heavier, more end-loaded swing weight than the -8 and -10 drops. ConneXion Max® Utilizes an elastomer connector to interlock the handle to the barrel, reducing vibration for optimal feel on contact, on-center or off. Opti-Flex™ Handle Driven by ongoing research and feedback from some of the game's best players, each bat size's handle flex is specifically engineered to the elite travel ball athlete. Gen2 In2uitiv Feel™ Soft Knob A newly designed soft knob with an asymmetric contour that delivers optimal comfort and barrel control. Flow+Tack™ Grip A 1.8mm perforated grip for quality feel and control, built to hold up through a full season of practices and games. It's built for advanced travel ball hitters who have outgrown the lighter drops and want a bat that carries more mass through the zone. If you're unsure whether -5 is the right drop for your player's height and age, our Youth Baseball Bat Sizing Guide breaks down length and weight recommendations by age, and our USSSA Baseball Bat Buying Guide compares it against other top USSSA models. The 2027 Easton Hype Fire -5 (EUT7HYP5) is certified to the USSSA Baseball bat standard, making it legal for USSSA-sanctioned travel and tournament ball. It is not certified for USA Baseball or BBCOR high school and college play. How is the -5 different from the -8 or -10 Hype Fire USSSA? The drop weight (length minus weight) controls swing feel. The -5 carries the most mass relative to its length of any drop in the USSSA line-up, giving advanced hitters maximum momentum through contact, while the -8 and -10 swing progressively lighter for developing hitters. All three share the same TCT Barrel and ConneXion Max connection. How is this different from the Hype Fire JBB? The standard Hype Fire -5 USSSA is a 2-piece composite bat aimed at the most advanced travel ball hitters. The Hype Fire JBB is a 1-piece composite bat with a lighter, more balanced swing weight, built for younger players stepping up to a big barrel for the first time. Does this bat need a break-in period? No. The TCT Barrel is engineered to perform close to peak straight out of the wrapper, without the extended break-in swings some composite bats require. What size should I order? Sizing depends on your player's height and experience level as much as their age. Our Youth Baseball Bat Sizing Guide has a length-and-weight chart by age to help you narrow down the right length before choosing a drop weight. Can this bat be used in USA Baseball leagues? No. This model carries the USSSA stamp, not the USA Baseball stamp, so it is not legal for USA-sanctioned leagues like Little League. If you need a bat certified for those leagues, see the USA Baseball Bats collection, which includes the USA-certified Hype Fire models.
