A stable and efficient single-skin parawing built to get you upwind, onto the wave and free from the wing. The 2026 CORE Lotus Parawing is CORE’s versatile entry into parawing, developed from the ground up for wave foiling, intuitive handling and dependable stability. Its modern single-skin design combines strong upwind performance, efficient glide and forgiving flight characteristics, helping riders get into position with less frustration before compactly stashing the Lotus and riding the wave with both hands free. Balanced, controllable and reliable in gusty conditions, it supports confident progression from the first session while retaining the efficiency and control experienced foilers expect. Wave-Focused Parawing Modern Single-Skin Design Strong Upwind Performance Stable & Forgiving Flight High-Aspect Efficiency Nitinol Leading Edge Supports Curved Control Bar Sizes 2.5–4.8m Why You’ll Love the CORE Lotus An Intuitive Entry into Parawing Stable, predictable flight and balanced power delivery reduce the learning curve, helping wing foilers and experienced foilers build confidence without unnecessary complexity. Efficiently Reaches the Wave The high-aspect single-skin profile generates strong upwind drive, allowing riders to regain position efficiently before stashing the parawing and focusing completely on the swell. Maximum Freedom Once Riding The Lotus packs down quickly and compactly, removing pull and drag from your hands so turns, pumping and foil control feel closer to pure surf foiling. Confidence in Gusty Conditions Forgiving flight characteristics and calm power delivery help the Lotus remain balanced and controllable through uneven, shifting or gusty wind. Efficient. Stable. Controlled. Wave Foiling The Lotus is designed to take you efficiently upwind, enter the swell early and stash cleanly so you can ride with a natural, unrestricted surf-foil stance. Freeride Predictable handling and smooth pull make the Lotus comfortable for cruising, exploring and building parawing skills across a broad range of real-world conditions. Freestyle The compact single-skin platform and direct bar control give progressing riders the freedom to develop transitions, maneuvers and more dynamic foil riding. Fast Progression Excellent upwind ability means less time struggling to return to position and more time practicing deployment, stashing, transitions and wave entries. CORE Lotus Size & Wind Range Lotus Size CORE Wind Range General Use 2.5m 21–35kt Strong-wind control, lighter riders and powered wave sessions 3.2m 18–31kt Powered everyday parawing use and higher-wind wave foiling 4.0m 15–27kt Versatile all-around size for many riders and typical conditions 4.8m 12–22kt Primarily heavier riders needing more area and power Important 4.8m sizing note: CORE designed the 4.8 primarily for heavier riders. It should not be treated simply as a dedicated ultra-light-wind size. Published wind ranges are manufacturer guidance. Rider weight, foil size, board volume, skill, current, water state, elevation and wind quality all affect appropriate parawing size. CORE Lotus Design & Technology High-Aspect Single-Skin Shape The efficient high-aspect profile creates early lift, strong glide and impressive upwind performance while retaining the calm, forgiving behavior needed for wave-focused progression. CoreTex Light Canopy Mix A stiffer, more dimensionally stable fabric in the forward canopy supports profile integrity and consistent pull, while a lighter, more flexible rear material improves handling, packability and overall weight. Nitinol Leading Edge Supports Shape-memory Nitinol rods reinforce the leading edge, helping it retain structure under load and return to its designed form after the parawing has been stashed. Reinforced Internal Ribs Coated internal ribs add structural stiffness, supporting predictable flight, consistent power development and long-term canopy durability. Curved Bar, Lines & Line Bridge Natural Curved-Bar Position The pre-assembled curved bar promotes a more natural hand position, especially when powered, while supporting smooth steering and precise control during launch, riding and stashing. Stiffer Anti-Tangle Lines Stiffer lines reduce tangling and simplify handling compared with softer traditional kite lines, making setup and redeployment easier on the water. Thicker Lower Line Sections The lower line sections are intentionally thicker to improve grip and control, while thinner upper sections help minimize aerodynamic drag. Clean Center-Line Bridge The line bridge routes the center line above the bar, creating a cleaner setup with improved freedom of movement while steering or preparing to stash. From Upwind Power to Pure Foil Freedom Efficient Positioning Strong upwind performance helps you reach the desired wave, swell line or starting point with less effort and fewer repeated attempts. Compact Stashing The lightweight single-skin design and flexible rear canopy allow the Lotus to pack down quickly without becoming a bulky distraction while riding. Reliable Redeployment Nitinol supports help the leading edge return to shape after stashing, promoting clean reopening and consistent control when power is needed again. Unrestricted Wave Riding Once stashed, the Lotus removes continuous wing pull from your hands, allowing freer body movement, cleaner turns and a more surf-inspired foil experience. Recommended Lotus Foil Setup Midlength Foil Board Midlength boards such as the CORE Roamer S from 78L or the CORE Chase provide efficient glide, early takeoff and enough stability for parawing starts and transitions. Efficient Wave Foil A gliding wave-focused foil such as the CORE CFS ELXR complements the Lotus with early lift, efficient energy transfer and smooth connections between swell sections. Correct Board Volume Choose enough board volume to support stable starts in your local conditions. More experienced riders may choose lower volume for maneuverability, while progressing riders benefit from extra stability. Personal Safety Equipment Use a properly fitted helmet, impact or flotation vest, suitable leash system and exposure protection appropriate for open-water conditions. Who Is the CORE Lotus For?
