Strapless Freestyle Performance Small Wave Friendly Easy Progression Compact Shape Reduced Tail Rocker Waterproof XPS Sandwich Construction FCS II Fin Boxes Why You’ll Love the CORE 720 IV Strapless Freestyle Made Accessible The 720 IV is designed for strapless freestyle, but it does not demand years of surf experience. Its balanced outline, stable deck, and predictable feedback help riders progress with confidence. Great for Twintip Riders Moving Into Surf Riders transitioning from a twintip will appreciate the 720 IV’s easy handling, strong stability, and forgiving feel when learning first bottom turns, cutbacks, jumps, and strapless board control. Compact and Light for Air Tricks The compact shape makes the board feel light underfoot and easier to control in the air, giving riders a strong platform for strapless jumps, rotations, grabs, and freestyle progression. Playful in Small Waves The 720 IV is not only a freestyle board. Its looser feel, flatter channels, and stable ride make it fun in small waves, rolling kickers, and playful surf conditions. Updated Shape Concept Thinner Profile The 720 IV is now thinner for a more direct and connected ride feel. The board feels responsive underfoot while still staying controlled through chop, turns, and landings. Reduced Tail Rocker Reduced tail rocker helps lower drag, improve low-end performance, and make upwind riding feel more effortless after jumps, wave rides, and transitions. Flatter Channels Flatter channels create a looser, more playful ride while still giving the board enough control for edging, takeoffs, landings, and clean water flow under the board. Flat Deck Stability The flat deck distributes pressure evenly and increases stability, giving the board a confident platform for strapless riding, foot changes, freestyle takeoffs, and landings. Performance Feel Freestyle Pop and Control The flat rocker, compact outline, and rocket tail create strong pop and clean release for strapless airs, while the board stays predictable before takeoff and stable on landing. Smooth Landings The quadruple concave bottom helps soften landings and compensate for chop, giving riders more confidence when practicing jumps, rotations, grabs, and freestyle maneuvers. Quick Upwind Recovery The reduced tail rocker and efficient bottom shape help the board get back upwind quickly after jumps or wave rides, keeping your session flowing with less downtime. Confidence in Chop and Small Surf Predictable feedback, high roll stability, and controlled edging help the 720 IV feel calm in choppy water, small waves, and gusty conditions. Board Details Quadruple Concave Bottom A pronounced center channel with double concave, framed by two additional concaves, helps the board land smoothly, track cleanly, and stay composed in choppy conditions. Grab Rails Integrated grab rails make strapless freestyle tricks easier by giving your thumb and palm a secure grip during fast grabs, rotations, and aerial moves. Rocket Tail The rocket tail releases easily from the water, tracks well, initiates turns smoothly, and supports clean rail-to-rail transitions in both flat water and waves. Thruster Fin Setup The thruster setup gives the 720 IV a loose, responsive feel with tight turning and easy takeoff over rolling kickers, making it ideal for freestyle and small-wave riding. Construction Waterproof XPS Sandwich Construction The 720 IV uses a durable waterproof XPS fiberglass sandwich construction for improved impact resistance, long-lasting performance, and better protection against water absorption. Full Rail Protection A continuous Soric sandwich layer wraps the rails to increase structural strength and reduce common weak points, especially in high-impact heel and rail areas. CARVED-Inspired Infusion Construction A precise infusion process creates consistent laminate quality, increased strength, and a thinner construction compared to traditional surfboard builds. Level One Verified ECOBOARD® Recyclable foams and bio-resins help reduce the board’s environmental footprint, giving the 720 IV a more sustainable construction profile as a Level One Verified ECOBOARD®.
