Winter Solstice Stitching Experience - PREORDER

Our Solstice Experience is similar to what many know as an advent calendar. Towards the beginning of December, you will receive a collection of gifts, marked and designed to be opened on the Solstice (December 21st, 2024 and for six days after the Solstice. As December can be quite hectic, this experience is designed and intended to cultivate a little bit (or a lot) of space each day to stitch and to be calm and present with what is a beautiful time of year. To embrace the darkness and rejuvenate, as we move from the Solstice's darkest night of the year and head once again towards the light. And to give you a little gift each day to inspire your creativity and to offer care. As our local, natural environment inspires and infuses so much life in our own work and stitching meditation practice, this year, our focus will be on incorporating your local, natural environment into your work. In addition to materials, we will be providing prompts, inspiration, and technical guidance to do so.  NEW! This year, we will be providing a pattern to turn your stitching into. This pattern will include instructions on how to create an ornament, sachet, or drawstring bag.  (You can be an absolute beginner stitcher to participate. Feel free to email us for guidance. We recommend having the following tools on hand: needles for embroidery and sashiko, small scissors, and a 4-7" embroidery hoop is optional.) This year, we invite members to join us for our daily 10 minute silent, virtual meditation. (Time to be determined.)  Between now and early December when we ship your kit to you, we will be busy designing, gathering, and creating your gifts. This is our second time creating a kit like this - last year's kit was a hit!
