Merlot is one of the most successful varietals on the Wahluke Slope. This was no secret to Arianses Vineyard owner Bruce Zunzer when planting vines in 1998. We crafted this Merlot-dominant wine around the Merlot’s intriguing dark-berry flavors, but the Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot contribution are forceful in their addition to the herbal complexity and elegant finish. | Bottled 7/14/2023 | 88 cases produced | Alcohol 14.50% | pH 3.92, TA 5.81 g/L | 50% Merlot (Arianses Vineyard) 27% Cabernet Franc (Arianses Vineyard) 23% Petit Verdot (Arianses Vineyard) Barrels: This wine was aged 22 months in seasoned Export-style oak barriques from Alain Fouquet and Tonnellerie Doreau and supplemented with French oak infusion by XtraChêne.
