2003-2009 5.9/6.7 Cummins Intercooler

2003-2009 Dodge 5.9L/6.7L Cummins Intercooler   The importance of your truck’s intercooler should never be overlooked. A properly designed air-to-air intercooler can reduce intake air temperature (IAT), lower exhaust gas temperature (EGT) and extend turbocharger life significantly—not to mention the fact that it can add horsepower and torque. At Smeding Diesel, we offer a direct replacement performance intercooler for the 2003-2009 3rd gen Cummins powered Rams that’s designed to outflow and out-cool the factory unit. Whether you’ve added larger injectors, upgraded the turbo, or haven’t touched a thing on your ’03-’09 Dodge, you stand to benefit from one of our replacement intercoolers.   Direct Drop-In Replacement, Robust Design Despite its larger size, our performance intercooler was designed to install seamlessly in front of the ’03-’07 5.9L and the ’07.5-’09 6.7L common-rail Cummins. It bolts directly in place of the OEM intercooler and only requires simple hand tools to get the job done (no cutting or modifying). Our intercooler also features a bar and plate construction, which is the ideal choice in turbocharged applications, and is built using cast-aluminum end tanks, which provides utmost durability under high boost pressure.   Performance Gains & Long-Term Durability Every engine benefits from lower intake air temps, and less heat means less stress for your engine to deal with. Our 3rd gen Cummins intercooler reduces intake temps by eliminating restrictions. It starts with our larger than factory, 3.5-inch diameter inlet and outlet allowing for more airflow, and the end tanks being strategically designed for optimized airflow. Cast-aluminum material ensures the end tanks hold up to elevated boost levels, and use of state-of-the-art ToughCore technology offers exceptional resistance to heat, pressure, oil, and fuel.   The Price Is Right It’s no secret that the diesel aftermarket is saturated with replacement intercoolers retailing for $1,000 or more. You won’t find that with the Smeding Diesel version. Our performance intercooler is designed with both quality and affordability in mind. Your Cummins will benefit from improved airflow, more air volume, cooler IATs, and lower EGT without breaking the bank. Its robust construction also offers the promise of durability in elevated boost pressure, high horsepower applications.      Highlights *Oversized, 3.5-inch diameter inlet and outlet *Strategically designed end tanks for optimized airflow *Reduces intake air temps and drops EGT *Reduces heat and stress on your turbo and engine *All cast-aluminum end tanks for superior strength *Direct, drop-in replacement for ’03-’09 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 (5.9L and 6.7L Cummins common-rail engines)
