2.5 ft x 13 ft Vintage Distressed Moroccan Rug Runner

This exquisite vintage Moroccan rug runner, measuring approximately 2.5 feet by 13 feet, showcases a captivating center field adorned with diamond-shaped medallions arranged in an asymmetric contour pattern. The design features a unique checkered relief texture enhanced by subtle abrash color variations and dye lot changes that provide depth and character throughout the rug. The color palette blends soothing shades such as mauve, faded cherry red, charcoal gray, rich chocolate brown, muted violet, and silver, harmoniously integrated to create a timeless aesthetic. The rug exhibits genuine age and use, characterized by areas with wear on the pile, visible knot heads, and foundation showing through in places, which add to its authentic vintage charm. Most original side cord selvages remain intact or have been carefully restored to preserve the rug's structural integrity. The sides and ends are fully secured to ensure durability for years of enjoyment. There is some loss along one end border and localized restoration on the opposite end, both professionally handled to maintain the rug’s beauty and function. Crafted with polychromatic warps incorporating natural fibers found in traditional Moroccan weaving, this runner also includes subtle tinsel accents for an understated sparkle. The rug has been recently professionally cleaned and is ready for immediate in-home use, enriching any interior space with its story and elegance. Hand-knotted in Morocco circa the 1970s, this vintage runner perfectly combines artisan craftsmanship with bohemian flair, making it an ideal centerpiece for fashion-conscious women and men seeking to elevate their living space with authentic, stylish décor.
