Borax by Bench Basics – Jeweler’s Grade (1lb)

Every master bench jeweler knows that a clean solder joint starts with the right flux. Bench Basics Borax provides the high-purity, professional-grade consistency required for fine jewelry fabrication and casting. Unlike standard household borax, our Jeweler’s Grade formula is refined to minimize impurities, ensuring smooth flow and optimal protection against oxidation. Whether you are glazing a new crucible or prepping a complex gold solder, this 1lb supply is the reliable workhorse your bench needs.   Why Choose Bench Basics?   Professional Purity: Formulated specifically for precious metals, this borax creates a superior barrier against oxygen, preventing firescale and ensuring your solder runs exactly where you lead it. Versatile Application: The fine granular texture dissolves easily into water to create a flux paste or can be used dry for glazing and sprinkling. Crucible Protection: Essential for seasoning and glazing ceramic crucibles. It creates a glassy coating that seals the pores of the ceramic, extending the life of your crucible and allowing molten metal to move freely without sticking. Economic Bench Size: The 1lb bag offers ample supply for the busy studio, packaged in a heavy-duty bag to resist moisture absorption in humid workshop environments.
