1927 - Panther Coffee Blend

Panther Coffee's 1927 Blend pays homage to the year their vintage Probat roaster was born—a machine that still shapes coffee in Miami today. This is espresso in the Northern Italian tradition: dark chocolate richness, hazelnut sweetness, and a syrupy body that carries milk like a dream. It's the kind of coffee that built cafe culture across Europe, now roasted with precision by one of America's most respected specialty roasters. Tasting Notes Expect bold dark chocolate on the front end, transitional notes of toasted hazelnut and almond, and a creamy, syrupy finish that lingers without bitterness. The body is full and velvety—structured enough to cut through milk yet smooth enough to sip straight. Acidity is mellow and balanced, never sharp, making this an approachable espresso for those who prefer classic profiles over bright, fruit-forward shots. The finish is clean with subtle caramel sweetness, a hallmark of careful roast development on vintage drum roasters. Brew Methods This blend was built for espresso—particularly traditional 1:2 ratio shots pulled between 25–30 seconds. It shines in cappuccinos and lattes, where its chocolate-forward profile complements steamed milk without disappearing. The 1927 also works beautifully in moka pots and as a rich, full-bodied option in French press or drip brewers for those who prefer a bolder morning cup. If you're dialing in on a home espresso machine, aim for medium-fine grind and expect forgiving extraction windows thanks to the roast's inherent sweetness. About the Roaster Panther Coffee has been a fixture in Miami's specialty coffee scene since 2010, known for meticulous sourcing and roasting on equipment that bridges eras—including their celebrated 1927 Probat, which inspired this blend's name and character.
