BON Acupressure Mat - Green

ABOUT BON ACUPRESSURE MAT ↡ Forget what muscle aches and pain feel like and take relaxation to a whole new level! BedOfNails provides acupressure to help the body release oxytocin and endorphins while activating the body’s parasympathetic nervous system. It is used and may help to alleviate a whole host of issues, including neck and back pain, sore muscles, tension, daily stress and poor circulation. The mystical bed of nails originated over 1000 years ago and was used for meditation and healing. We have created a modern, ergonomically designed version of that ancient technology with a Swedish twist to model those same deep healing effects. Don't be alarmed from the look of these pointy spikes. They do not penetrate the skin. Due to thousands of nails, even though prickly at first, the sensation becomes after a minute or so rather blissful when pain and stress melts away. With more nails, the original BedOfNails® is more comfortable to use while giving you more treatment. BedOfNails® is the original brand that started the global acupressure mat movement and is designed with more nails than most other similar brands. More nails means your weight is distributed more evenly, which not only makes it more comfortable, but also provides a more effective treatment triggering more acupressure points. WHAT HAPPENS AND HOW IT FEELS ↡ The pressure of the rounded spikes against the skin may help the body release endorphins, the body’s very own “happiness drug” which can provide a sense of joy, energy and pain relief, and oxytocin, which may make you calm and relaxed (yes, it is possible to feel energetic and be relaxed at the same time!). You may feel the effects instantly - instant pain relief, instant calm - and you may even fall asleep! In less than 20 minutes each day, you may restore a sense of freedom to your body. Get back to what you love doing, like playing with your kids or enjoying your favorite activities, without having to worry about pain or being tired. Acupressure may help, while using to: Ease muscle tension, back and neck pain Increase localized circulation Support stress relief and tension release Promote a sense of calm and physical relaxation Feel more grounded or centred Relax before bed Support circulation and skin firmness Don't be alarmed from the look of these pointy spikes. Due to the thousands of nails, even though prickly at first, the sensation becomes after a minute or so rather blissful when pain and stress melts away. 0 – 1 min: Pressure moves blood to the area. Skin feels prickly and you experience a pleasant tingly sensation. 1 - 2 min: Due to the thousands of nails, the blood circulation increases through your body, spreading a soothing heat. 2 - 4 min: Because of the circulation, blood is delivering oxygen and nutrition to the cells. A burst of energy and endorphin release. 4 - 6 min: Full body restoration begins. Muscle tension melts away. 10 - 20 min: Oxytocin and endorphins are released. Hello happiness and pain relief! You may drift off into sleep. (Afterwards): You feel refreshed and restored! HOW TO USE BON ACUPRESSURE MAT ↡ The BON Mat can be used alone or in combination with the BON Pillow. Simply lay down or lean against the mat and let it do its magic! Use at bedtime for relief of back and neck pain/tension and a faster sleep. Use in the morning for aid in meditation. Step on your mat for a foot massage (Stand still - the nails will do the work). For less intensity, sit down and rest your feet on the mat. The BON Mat can be used in combination with the BON Pillow. For more intense treatment on your bed or on the floor. For less intensity, lean against the back of a sofa, an armchair, or against stacked up pillows in bed. (The more body weight put on the nails, the more intense the sensation). Everybody reacts differently to acupressure, and the effects may even vary from time to time. If used in the evening, it may help you drift into sleep. During the day, it may make you more alert, relaxed, happy and a clearer mind. Acupressure may also help the body rid itself of toxins, so it is important to drink water after using BedOfNails. BON ACUPRESSURE MAT SPECS ↡ More spikes matter!
