1901 Ten "Bison" Dollar bison bill

These rare bills were (and still are) legal tender in the United States.  They feature "Black Diamond", a bison then in the New York Central Park Zoo... or at least some people believe that Black Diamond was the model/inspiration.  There is another theory that a preserved bison in the Smithsonian - one actually shot and mounted by William T. Hornaday, was the model.  In any event, a great piece of US history. Variations:  Series of 1901 ten dollar bills come with nine different signature combinations:  Not all signature combinations available at this time, sorry.  This is here just as information for you.  Lyons – Roberts Lyons – Treat Vernon – Treat Vernon – McClung Napier – McClung Parker – Burke Teehee – Burke Elliott – White Speelman – White
