Antique 18k Yellow Gold Diamond Butterfly Pocketwatch

The exquisite design gracing the front of this piece is executed perfectly, with the engraved butterfly's body and wings consisting of 45 old mine cut diamonds. These stones have G-H color and VS-SI clarity, and equal to about 1.75 carats. All of the diamonds surround the central bright cut ruby, which has a bit of wear but shines beautifully. Both the front and back of this watch open by pressing down on the top notch. Unfortunately, this watch is inoperable, but can be left for aesthetic value or removed if the wearer would prefer a locket.  This beauty weighs 18.8 grams and is 27 mm in diameter.
