Flying Officer | 40mm, Steel Case, Steel Strap

First introduced in 1939, the Flying Officer was born in an era of growing world travel. Designed as a companion to the earliest intercontinental flights, it allowed pilots to track the time at upcoming refuelling stops via its rotating bezel. Worn by figures like former U.S. President Harry S. Truman, who called it “the most elaborate watch [he] ever saw,” it quickly moved beyond the cockpit, becoming a watch for those navigating a newly connected world.   Today, the Flying Officer is reimagined for modern wanderlust with an updated city ring. Its timezones follow modern global gateways and routes of exploration, while its purpose remains unchanged: keeping time across cities and continents. It’s made to go far and stay in sync.
