Surface Considerations: Works best in solid wood or with metal anchors if installing in hollow doors or frames. Drive Slowly: Use hand tools or a power drill on low speed to avoid damaging the head or finish. Optional Wax Touch-Up: Use touch-up wax or paint after install to blend any abrasions from handling. 🧼 Care / Cleaning Instructions Raw Steel Finish: Regularly apply a clear furniture wax or penetrating oil to prevent oxidation. Coated Finishes: Gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth; avoid water and cleaners with solvents. Outdoor Use: Consider sealing with a rust-inhibiting clear coat if exposed to rain or humidity. FAQ – Thick Pyramid Head Screws Q: Are these strong enough for load-bearing installs? A: These are more decorative than structural. They're strong, but not intended for primary structural support. Use with traditional lag screws if load-bearing is needed. Q: How much do the heads protrude from the surface? A: The thick pyramid head sits about 1/4" to 3/8" above the surface depending on the size—perfect for a bold look. Q: Will the finish wear over time? A: Natural patinas may deepen or change slightly, especially on raw steel or bronze. Powder coat and sealed finishes will stay consistent with basic care. Q: Can I request a custom screw length or head size? A: Yes—we can accommodate custom work depending on quantity. Please reach out with your request.
