17th Century Licorice

Bold. Nostalgic. Unmistakably Black Licorice.  Strong, sweet, and steeped in history, 17th Century Licorice pays homage to the beloved treat that dates back to the 1600s; when Dutch sailors carried its bold flavor across oceans, sharing it with the world. The scent opens with an intense burst of black licorice candy, dark, glossy, and instantly recognizable; sweet yet intriguingly sharp, like the first taste of a classic treat straight from the apothecary. At its heart, anise and molasses mingle, creating a rich, warm, and slightly herbal accord that evokes old-world charm and the lingering aroma of a sailor’s spice chest. Finally, the fragrance settles into a base of licorice root and sweet resin, grounding the sweetness with earthy depth and a subtle, sophisticated smokiness that lingers like a whispered story of centuries past. 17th Century Licorice is more than a fragrance; it’s a journey through time, a playful nod to tradition, and a daringly sweet statement that lingers long after the first encounter.
