176 Coconut Octopus

Description About Metal Art Images Metal Prints Coconut Octopus - [Amphioctopus marginatus] What's the Point or Punta, Dauin, Dumaguete, Philippines This octopus is know because of its portable housse. They like to use half coconut shells for thier home and can be seen walking around with it. I have seen these critters with a large half clam shell beneath them and an old porcelain electrical socket for on top. They eat crabs, shrimps and clams. The one pictured here is in a Sprite bottle. He was very friendly. He was hidden inside and when I peered closer at him, he started to come out. I must have watched him for a half an hour. About 4 months later I found him at around the same depth in the same bottle! Size: 8 cm (~3 inches) long with arms up to 15 cm (~6 inches) Print Sizes available from 4x6 up to 40x60. It is then mounted on one inch thick aluminum frame. Comes with all the hardware to make it easy for you to put it right on your wall. How archival are Metal Prints? Images printed with the MetalPrints process will last for generations when displayed indoors and out of direct sunlight. Like any fine art print, MetalPrints should not be exposed to direct sunlight or high outdoor temperatures. MetalPrints have an additional benefit over giclee or photographic processes in that they are waterproof and have an ultra-hard scratch resistant coating. The archival value of a print should be judged not only by its resistance to degradation by U.V. light and ozone exposure, but also to moisture and surface damage. When these factors are brought into the equation, MetalPrints are an excellent way to preserve an image.
