175 Blue Ring Octopus

Description About Metal Art Images Metal Prints Greater Blue Ring Octopus - [Hapalochlaena lunulata] Ginna-ma an, Dauin, Dumaguete, Philippines Octopus in general are one of my favorite critters to find under the sea. This particular octopus is one of the most venomous animals in the sea. It has around 60 iridescent blue rings. When it is hunting it can put on flashing show of these rings. As I watched it swimming from clump to clump of coral, it was constantly changing its colors to match its environment. I was pretty amazed by it. So small but so brilliant in color. Size: 5 cm (~2 inches) long with arms up to 10 cm (~4 inches) Print Sizes available from 4x6 up to 40x60. Included with sizes 12x18 and larger, you get a float mount hanging system. If you wish a silver or a black metal box-style frame, or a print only, (12x18 and larger), please enter it into your order notes. This photo image is made by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. It has a glossy finish which produces colors that are very vibrant and the luminescence is breathtaking. The ultra-hard scratch-resistant surface is waterproof/weatherproof and can be cleaned easily with any commercial glass cleaner (avoid direct sunlight). It is then mounted on one inch thick aluminum frame. Comes with all the hardware to make it easy for you to put it right on your wall. How archival are Metal Prints? Images printed with the MetalPrints process will last for generations when displayed indoors and out of direct sunlight. Like any fine art print, MetalPrints should not be exposed to direct sunlight or high outdoor temperatures. MetalPrints have an additional benefit over giclee or photographic processes in that they are waterproof and have an ultra-hard scratch resistant coating. The archival value of a print should be judged not only by its resistance to degradation by U.V. light and ozone exposure, but also to moisture and surface damage. When these factors are brought into the equation, MetalPrints are an excellent way to preserve an image.
