1700's Brass Tinder Box

1700’s Brass Tinder Box Step back into the 18th century with this historically inspired brass tinder box. Designed to hold essential fire-starting supplies, this compact box was a trusted companion of trappers, traders, soldiers, and frontiersmen throughout the 1700s. Crafted to the same style carried on the frontier, it’s perfectly sized to store char cloth, flint, and our “U”-shaped striker (note: it does not fit the “C”-shaped striker). While intended for fire-making, the tinder box is versatile enough to carry a variety of small essentials when you’re on the move. Each box features an iron lid and hinge, which may be browned or blued for an authentic, period-correct finish. Its durable brass body not only protects your contents but also brings a touch of old-world craftsmanship to your gear collection. Whether you’re a historical reenactor, a collector of frontier gear, or simply appreciate traditional tools, the 1700’s Brass Tinder Box is a functional and authentic piece of history.
