16×24 Timber Frame Saltbox Plan

This 16×24 saltbox cabin plan  is a medium-sized frame with lots of possibilities! Because the saltbox roofline creates  a generous ceiling height,  there is even space for a second level loft. We opted to leave  a volume ceiling over half of the main level and have a second level in the other half of the frame. Plan measures 14’-11 ¾” x 22’-11 ¾” from outside to outside of the posts to accept SIPs and still utilize a 16×24 foundation. Top of the tie beam is 9’-9 ½” high. 5’-5” knee wall on second level. Ridge beam stands at 18’-6 ⅝”. We have included plans  detailing  this frame out as a cute one bedroom cabin! Open kitchen/living area, master bedroom with closet, and a full bathroom on the ground floor. Loft space with ladder access  that you could use as a sleeping loft or other purpose.
